Parapsychology is the scientific and scholarly study of three kinds of unusual events (ESP, mind-matter interaction, and survival), which are associated with human experience. Parapsychology only studies those anomalies that fall into one of three general categories: ESP (terms are defined below), mind-matter interaction (previously known as psychokinesis), and phenomena suggestive of survival after bodily death, including near-death experiences, apparitions, and reincarnation. The basic parapsychological phenomena are categorized as follows: ESP: Extra-sensory perception; a general term for obtaining information about events beyond the reach of the normal senses. This term subsumes telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and presentiment.

Below is a recent interview with Typical Skeptic (Robert Kalil) in which he addresses many topics involving the paranormal. Interview on Typical Skeptic with Robert Kalil! The accreditation and validation addressing the impacts and correlations between clinical and parapsycholgical perspectives. The diagnostic criteria presented in the (DSM) and the parasychological effects that are presented in relation to attachments/progressive entrapment/etc. The outcomes to mental and physical health is most definitely attributed to criteria on both sides of the spectrum. Knowledge in both fields is essential for ethical diagnosis in my opinion. Instead of discounting a clients “paranormal” related comments, dive deeper, research the possibility and validity both fields can provide. There are sometimes very basic and valid ways of dismissing/debunking what is presented, and to hear the words “I’m not crazy” is so rewarding.Open up your minds to a dual diagnosis in relation to both fields of psychology! Thanks for all the support everyone, Parapsych’d.com and related productions are almost ready for release!

Poltergeist activity?

The Stone Tape theory is the speculation that ghosts and hauntings are analogous to tape recordings, and that mental impressions during emotional or traumatic events can be projected in the form of energy, "recorded" onto rocks and other items and "replayed" under certain conditions. The Idea draws inspiration and shares similarities with views of 19th century intellectualists and psychic researchers, such as Charles Babbage, Eleonor Sidgwick and Edmund Gurney. Contemporarily, the concept was popularized by 1972 Christmas ghost story called The Stone Tape, produced by the BBC.[1][2] Following the movie's popularity, the idea and the term "stone tape" were retrospectively and inaccurately attributed to the British archaeologist turned parapsychologist T. C. Lethbridge, who believed that ghosts were not spirits of the deceased, but were simply non-interactive recordings similar to a movie. Check out the video below!
